A note from the founder, parent to parent

"I'm John, a dad of two in Zionsville, Indiana. I build SchoolBrief for my own family — and before asking other parents to trust me with information about their kids, I want to be direct: your family's information is used only to generate your digest. Nothing more. I won't do anything with it that I wouldn't want done with my own kids' data. That's a promise from one parent to another."

— John Steber, Founder & Dad  ·  Waypoint Labs, LLC

What we collect: Your email, your kids' names and teachers, and the school emails you forward to us.
What we do with it: We use it to generate your daily digest. That's it.
🚫
What we never do: We never sell your information, share it with third parties, or use your kids' information for advertising. You can delete your account and all data at any time.

Beta is at capacity
We're at our current beta cap of 25 families. Drop your email below and we'll let you in as new slots open — usually within a week or two.
The Founders Family deal still applies. Anyone admitted through August 31 gets June, July, and August free — no payment up front, no card required.
Create your account
Your email and a strong password to get started.
Must include: 8+ characters · 1 uppercase letter · 1 number · 1 special character (!@#$%^&*)
💡
Why do we ask for your kids' names and teachers? So SchoolBrief can say "For Isaac's class, Ms. Jacobs says..." instead of a generic summary. We only use this to organize your digest — nothing else.
Your kids & their teachers
Add each child and their teachers. SchoolBrief organizes updates by child, so nothing gets mixed up.
Your forwarding address
This is the address you'll forward school emails to. Pick something you'll remember. You can't change it later.

You're in.
Let's see it work.

Forward any school email to your address below and your first digest will be ready in minutes. That's really it to start.

Your SchoolBrief address
Do this now — takes 5 seconds
  1. Open any recent email from your school
  2. Tap Forward
  3. Paste your SchoolBrief address (copied above) and send
Check your dashboard in a few minutes — your first digest will be there.
Get SchoolBrief caught up
The more recent emails you forward, the richer your first digest. Any of these are great to send:
  • Weekly newsletters from your child's teacher
  • School or district newsletters (weekly roundups, principal updates)
  • Activity or club registration confirmations (Ryzer, SignUpGenius, etc.)
  • Upcoming event announcements — field trips, performances, spirit days
  • Any email with dates, deadlines, or reminders
Forward whatever landed in your inbox this week — SchoolBrief will sort it out.
Your account tools
Two ways to feed school info into your digest. You can always find both again in your family dashboard.
1 · Your SchoolBrief email address
Forward any school email here — newsletters, registration confirmations, event announcements. This is what builds your digest.
2 · The web clipper
📎 Send to SchoolBrief
Drag this button to your bookmarks bar. Then, on any school page that lives behind a login — a class website, a portal SchoolBrief can't reach by email — click it to send that page straight to your digest.
Bookmarks bar hidden? Chrome/Edge: Ctrl/⌘+Shift+B. Safari: View → Show Favorites Bar.
Want school emails to arrive automatically?
Set up auto-forwarding once and every school email lands here on its own — no manual steps ever again. Takes about 5 minutes.
No rush — we'll send you a reminder tomorrow with the step-by-step.
A note on why forwarding, not a one-click connection
I built and tested a one-click "Connect Gmail" option — and decided not to include it. Forwarding keeps you in control of every email SchoolBrief ever sees: you decide what comes through, nothing more. Parent to parent, that's the standard I've set for SchoolBrief.
— John
Your first week is real-time. Every batch of forwarded emails updates your dashboard within 15 minutes. After that, you'll get your daily 5 AM morning brief, plus automatic dashboard updates throughout the day whenever new emails come in.
