Please read these Terms of Service carefully before using SchoolBrief.ai. By creating an account or using our service, you agree to be bound by these terms.
SchoolBrief.ai ("SchoolBrief," "we," "us," or "our") is a voice-first AI service that summarizes school communication emails and delivers personalized digests via Amazon Alexa, Google Assistant, and a web dashboard. SchoolBrief is operated by Waypoint Labs, LLC, doing business as SchoolBrief, based in Zionsville, Indiana.
You must be at least 18 years old to use SchoolBrief. By using our service, you represent that you are a parent or legal guardian using SchoolBrief to manage school communications for your household. SchoolBrief is not intended for use by children under 13.
You are responsible for maintaining the security of your account credentials. You agree to notify us immediately at [email protected] if you suspect unauthorized access to your account. You are responsible for all activity that occurs under your account.
You may not share your account with others or create accounts for other families without their explicit consent.

SchoolBrief offers the following paid plans:
Free Trial / Beta
Beta users may receive free access during a specified trial period. We will notify you before any free period ends and a paid subscription begins.
Payment
All payments are processed by Stripe. By providing payment information, you authorize us to charge your payment method for the applicable subscription fee. Subscriptions automatically renew at the end of each billing period unless cancelled.
Price Changes
We will notify you at least 30 days in advance of any price changes. Continued use after the effective date constitutes acceptance of the new price.
Cancellation
You may cancel your subscription at any time from your account settings. Cancellation takes effect at the end of the current billing period. You will continue to have access to SchoolBrief through the end of your paid period.
Refunds
Monthly subscriptions: No refunds for partial months.
Annual subscriptions: Refund of the unused portion (pro-rated by month) if requested within 30 days of purchase. No refunds after 30 days.
To request a refund, email [email protected] with your account email and reason for the request.
You retain ownership of all emails and information you provide to SchoolBrief. By using SchoolBrief, you grant us a limited license to process, store, and analyze your forwarded emails solely for the purpose of generating your digest.
You represent that you have the right to forward the emails you send to SchoolBrief and that doing so does not violate any applicable laws or third-party rights.
SchoolBrief uses artificial intelligence to summarize your school emails. The summaries are generated automatically and may occasionally be inaccurate, incomplete, or miss important information. You should not rely solely on SchoolBrief digests for critical school communications — always verify important information directly with your school.
We are not responsible for any decisions made based on AI-generated summaries.
Use of SchoolBrief through Amazon Alexa is subject to Amazon's Alexa Terms of Use. Use through Google Assistant is subject to Google's Terms of Service. Your use of those platforms is governed by their respective terms.
Our collection and use of your personal information is described in our Privacy Policy, which is incorporated into these Terms by reference.
SchoolBrief is provided "as is" and "as available" without warranties of any kind, either express or implied. We do not warrant that the service will be uninterrupted, error-free, or completely accurate. We are not responsible for missed school communications, incorrect summaries, or technical failures.
To the maximum extent permitted by applicable law, SchoolBrief and its operators shall not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages, including loss of data, missed events, or any other damages arising from your use of the service. Our total liability to you for any claims arising from these Terms or your use of SchoolBrief shall not exceed the amount you paid us in the 12 months preceding the claim.
You agree to indemnify and hold harmless SchoolBrief and its operators from any claims, damages, or expenses (including reasonable legal fees) arising from your use of the service, violation of these Terms, or infringement of any third-party rights.
These Terms are governed by the laws of the State of Indiana, without regard to conflict of law principles. Any disputes shall be resolved in the courts of Boone County, Indiana.
We may update these Terms from time to time. We will notify you of material changes by email at least 14 days before they take effect. Continued use of SchoolBrief after changes take effect constitutes acceptance of the updated Terms.
